Not All Fats Are Bad

Did you know your body sends signals when it is not getting enough good fats in your diet?

These signals are often overlooked as symptoms we think of these as being normal in our day-to-day living.

Our body uses the fat that you eat to build cell walls. You have more than 10 trillion cells in your body, and every single one of them needs high-quality fat.

Notice I said high quality fat and NOT saturated fat… there is a big difference especially when it comes to your waistline and your health.

Have you ever noticed your memory is lapsing during the day or what is called brain fog… it is like you your head is in the cloud? The higher quality the fat you eat, the better your brain will function

I try to make a point of including good fats at least once a day into my daily meals.

The right fats can improve your mood, skin, hair, and nails, while protecting you against Type 2 diabetes, dementia, cancer, and much more.

Among my favourites sources of fat include:

Avocados

Nuts & seeds

Fatty fish that are rich in omega-3 fats

Extra virgin olive oil/flaxseed oil

Grass-fed where possible animal products

Other signs your cells are not getting the fats they need:

Dry, itchy, scaling or flaking skin

Soft, cracked, or brittle nails

Hard ears wax

Tiny bumps on the back of your arms or torso

Achy & stiff joints
